Reflexology is a therapeutic, non-invasive practice that involves applying gentle, intentional pressure to specific reflex points on the feet (hands, or ears) that correspond to different organs, systems, and areas of the body. By stimulating these points, reflexology helps calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and encourage the body’s natural healing response. Many clients experience deep relaxation, reduced stress, relief from tension or pain, and a greater sense of balance. Reflexology supports both physical well-being and emotional regulation, making it an effective complement to overall wellness, preventative care and long term relief.
Reflexology can be a supportive therapy for a wide range of physical, mental, and nervous system–related concerns.
✓ Stress, anxiety, and chronic tension
✓ Sleep difficulties and insomnia
✓ Headaches and migraines
✓ Muscle tension, joint stiffness, and general aches
✓ Chronic pain and inflammation
✓ Digestive issues, including bloating and irregularity
✓ Hormonal imbalances and PMS symptoms
✓ Circulation and lymphatic congestion
✓ Nervous system dysregulation and trauma-related stress
✓ Fatigue, burnout, and low energy
✓ Sinus congestion and respiratory discomfort
✓ Support during recovery from injury or illness
Sit back and relax as Laurie warms up your feet with moist hot towels. Listen to guided meditation on the BrainTap headset or gentle relaxing music in the background as she uses gentle techniques to send you into a state of relaxation. Once her full foot assessment is complete Laurie focuses on areas of concern.
A foot massage focuses on connective tissue and muscle fibers. Reflexology focuses on reflex and nerve points.
The therapist can alter her pressure and techniques to calm and distract your mind. Most people with ticklish feet find Reflexology very soothing. Be sure to discuss this with Laurie.
Most people feel the effects of reflexology during or immediately after their first session, often as deep relaxation, reduced tension, or a sense of calm. For others, the benefits may be more subtle at first and build over time.
Here’s what’s typical:
Immediately: Relaxation, warmth in the body, lighter mood, or reduced tension
Within 24–72 hours: Improved sleep, decreased stress, less muscle or joint discomfort
With consistent sessions: More lasting improvements in pain management, nervous system regulation, energy levels, and overall balance
For chronic stress, pain, or long-standing conditions, a series of sessions is often recommended, as reflexology works cumulatively by supporting the nervous system and the body’s natural regulation processes.
Everyone responds differently, and your experience may vary based on stress levels, health history, and consistency of care.
